Artist terms.

For artists registering their own work, subscribing, using buy links, Commission HQ, and earning resale royalties. The universal terms also apply.

1. Attestation and eligibility

Certificates are issued only with the creating artist's own attestation. By registering a work you confirm, and warrant to us and to every future viewer of the record, that: you personally created the work; it is your original work; you hold the rights necessary to register and sell it; and the details you supply are true and complete. Registering a work you did not create, or supplying materially false details, is a serious breach and grounds for immediate removal of records and closure of your access. This attestation is recorded permanently and is the basis on which buyers rely.

2. Fees you pay

Prices shown in your local currency are charged as fixed amounts in that currency, not a live conversion. Fees may change; changes apply to future transactions only and are published before they take effect.

3. Fees on a sale

These percentages are applied to the sale price at the moment of payment and split automatically by Stripe. Stripe's card-processing fee (approximately 1.5–3% + 20p/30¢) is deducted from the seller's share, as with any card payment. There are no listing fees and no charge if a work does not sell.

4. Payouts

To receive money you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding (identity and bank details, collected by Stripe). Payouts are made by Stripe on its standard cycle directly to your bank; we never hold your money. Where a sale is in a currency other than your account's home currency, Stripe may apply a conversion on payout. You are responsible for your own tax.

5. Selling, delivery and refunds

You set your prices and you are the seller. You are solely responsible for delivering sold works and for any refund arising from non-delivery, damage, or misdescription. If you refund a buyer, the associated record transfer is reversed. Repeated failure to deliver is grounds for suspension.

6. Resale royalty (contractual)

The 4% royalty on registry resales is a contractual feature of this service, separate from any statutory Artist's Resale Right (ARR). It is paid automatically to your connected payout account while a valid account exists; if you have no active payout account at the time of a resale, we cannot pay it. Where statutory ARR applies to a transaction, the parties remain responsible for their own ARR compliance; the contractual royalty is not a substitute for it. You may name a beneficiary to continue receiving royalties.

7. Commission HQ

Where you use Commission HQ, deposits and balances are paid by your client through Stripe on the same no-funds-held basis. A commission contract is between you and your client; the Registry provides the workflow and record, and is not a party to it. The Registry fee on a completed commission is charged on the same basis as a primary sale. You remain responsible for fulfilling the commission as agreed with your client.

8. Your content and intellectual property

You retain all copyright in your works. By registering, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display the images and details you supply on the record, the certificate, related registry pages, and share previews, for as long as the record exists. You confirm you have the rights to grant this.

9. Account and identity
